Method
- Rinse the Moong Dal and rice together under running water.
- In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add diced vegetables, turmeric, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the rinsed dal and rice, followed by water. Stir well.
- Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
- Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
