Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen berries (e.g., strawberries, blueberries)
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, heat the berries over medium heat until they start to break down (about 5-7 minutes).
  2. Mash the berries with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Stir in chia seeds, honey, and lemon juice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool. Store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
