We all understand that there are different ways to achieve a set outcome. However, the paths become more complex in the context of a fitness goal. Thanks to various dogmas available to us through people and social media. So how does one draw the line between what works and what doesn’t? The answer lies in creating a program that leans more towards SMART WORK than HARD WORK. Hard work entails putting in “strenuous hours” to complete a task. On the other hand, an innovative job entails creating “efficient hours” to complete a task. Logic dictates going the intelligent way than the hard way, especially in today’s time, when time and energy are limited. So here are my two cents to help you build a result-oriented plan: THE SMART WAY: – BUILDING A SET OF HABITS THAT HELP LAY A FOUNDATION FOR SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE PRACTISES HABITS MAKETH MAN If you’ve watched…

Nowadays, fitness is more than just losing weight, building muscles, and looking good; it’s also not just about outperforming others. It’s about changing your lifestyle. Keep your body and mind strong by eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, and adopting healthy habits. “Fitness today is about being better than you used to be. Feeling better than you used to feel.” If you are just starting to create your own workouts and exercise on your own, or if you aren’t seeing results with your current routine, you may push yourself to exercise more and diet, but still not see results. Without guidance, going to extremes can damage your health and mental wellbeing. It may be best for you to hire a personal trainer online in this case. In order to achieve effective results, you need a guide, a coach, an expert who knows what you should be eating, how much you should…

The world is completely online now. Based on today’s uncertainty, working out from the internet or some app is the easiest thing to do currently. But why are so many people falling off the fitness trend when the accessibility to above-average fitness is so easy? The obvious answer is that being consistent with a fitness and nutrition journey is really tough. Plus, it takes a lot of time and patience to see any type of results/progress. There’s also a major reason why you can’t see changes in your fitness levels or body composition/physique and that is : ‘Structure’ It’s relatively easy to figure out random movement patterns/exercises and just blindly follow some routine you see online uploaded by coaches like myself or some fitness influencer. It can seem like an interesting change in your fitness programming and that could be beneficial for having more options. But is this new routine…

Before you start the journey in building a better you, make sure you start for the right reasons. For setting goals is very easy. It’s being consistent enough to achieve them is where the true gold lies. Here are my two cents to help you not only define your fitness goals, but also build consistency to make them a part of your lifestyle than see them another task or deadline: 1. INTROSPECT AND BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF Don’t limit your goal setting purely for that aesthetic appeal. Fitness is more than just looks and body image When you set goals also keeping in mind your health, getting fit and lean is a by product. For when you are truly healthy, you are at your best, mentally & physically. That’s when age jus becomes a number. 2. DON’T SET SUPERFICIAL GOALS THAT ARE TOO OVERWHELMING TO BEGIN WITH. Depending on where…

If you’re one of those looking to get in shape, then you have an understanding that there needs to be a change in your lifestyle status quo Diet and exercise are the most prominent elements of change that people focus their attention on However, there’s another element that holds a significant value in this journey. And that’s: SLEEP Without an adequate Quality Sleep (not disturbed), you can forget about your fat loss goals (Not to mention general well-being & performance, which is another topic of discussion on its own). So here’s why you should focus on getting at least 7-8 hours of quality sleep: 1. YOUR BODY REPAIRS & RECOVERS The act of exercising and going about our routine activities of the day, involve a lot of wear and tear in our cells. Apart from feeding our body with good nutrition, it needs a good period of rest to make…

Ever seen the body of your favourite celebrity showing off their toned flawless body, selling a product to look thin, fit, good or even look fair. Ever seen those gym ads, showing people with six pack abs & sharing stories of people who have lost 5kgs in one week, from super fat to super thin? I’m sure you have, unless you live in a cave. And so you get super motivated to change the way you look & start exercising. Some achieve their goals of losing weight by going on extreme diet plans, while some just give up halfway as they expected better results in the time they could manage. In both cases, the consequences of trying to look good, usually leads to a bad experience & perception about getting fit 1. BREAK THE CHAIN So how does one break free from this toxic chain?? The problem lies in our…

Over the last 24 months, the fitness industry has seen a complete shake-up, with Covid-19-related shutdowns resulting in gyms closing shop, many scrambling to digitise their business offerings, and many trainers and small businesses left hapless in its wake. Over the last 24 months, the fitness industry has seen a complete shake-up, with Covid-19-related shutdowns resulting in gyms closing shop, many scrambling to digitise their business offerings, and many trainers and small businesses left hapless in its wake. As with most businesses around the world, technology has been a central theme, with accelerated adoption during the pandemic fueling unprecedented changes in consumer behaviour willing to try new apps, workouts, and be counselled all from the comfort of their own home. However, with everyone jumping on the “online fitness” bandwagon, albeit with a variety of approaches, there has been a significant increase in the number of fitness platforms all vying to…

If you look at the process of weight loss, it seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? Eat less, exercise more, and watch those pounds melt away. It’s such a simple concept. In fact, if you believe the hype put out there by some of the diet books, magazines, and infomercials, it may look like that fast weight loss is just one diet or gadget away, only if you could find that right one! In that respect, some of the information around there is actually right. Fast weight loss can be just around the corner. But losing weight fast doesn’t always mean it’s going to be permanent.  For some long-term weight loss, the usual diets or programs seem to fall short. So are you ready to find out the one secret to successful long-term weight loss? And that’s to start.  Don’t be thinking and talking about it endlessly – just decide,…

There is no ideal weight loss target per week. Everyone is different and we all lose weight or gain strength at our own pace. There’s no right or wrong way if you end up losing a kg a week that really won’t mean that you lose 52 kgs in the whole year, right? The scale just won’t go down every day or every week and that’s okay the same with weight training which is even slower. Your lifts won’t go up in a linear manner every week so if you fuss over it too much then you want to get frustrated with the slow rate of progress and in some ways it spikes in the opposite direction as well you may gain weight one week in a fat loss program or perhaps be a massive spend decline. It’s still nothing to worry about trust me, it’s normal so just keep…
